V Family Maternity Session | Columbus Maternity Photographer

I met with the V family again for a second round of maternity pictures. I did a pregnancy announcement session for them last fall so they could tell their family and friends they are expecting baby #2. (You can check out their fun announcement session here) Alexis is so excited to be a big sister. She has been practicing taking care of her dolls and will be the best big sister and an amazing mother someday. She has an incredible mother herself who is the perfect example of a great parent (her dad too!) There is so much love in this family that baby Avery will have a very warm welcome when she arrives.

L Family 1st Birthday Session | Columbus Baby Photographer

Sweet little Jack just turned one year old, and his parents wanted to document this momentous time in his life. Despite the fact that he was teething, drooling and loved chewing on his finger, he was an absolute peach for his session. He is also a car lover just like my little guy. He filled with squeals and smiles when his mom Katie brought out his favorite blue car. His gender was a surprise at birth so his car was the first ‘boy’ gift from his Grandma right after he was born. How sweet!

A Family Newborn Session | Columbus Newborn Photographer

Baby Roen was a dream to photograph for his newborn session. He was only 4 days old when I went to the A Family’s home and set up my newborn backdrop and got to work. Roen let us move and pose him the entire time with hardly a peep! He has such sweet and squeezable cheeks! I just kept ooh and ahhing over his dreamy little face the entire time I was editing his pictures. Big sister Brecken is absolutely in love with her new little brother too. How could she not?

A Family Hospital Session | Columbus Birth Photographer

I had the absolute honor to be in the hospital room right after baby Roen was born a couple weeks ago. Not only did I get a chance to capture the wonderful raw emotions that were filling the room, but I was able to document big sister Brecken meeting her little brother for the first time. Between excited grandparents, proud dad, glowing mom, and awe-struck big sis, I could hardly hold in my own excitement for the new family. It was so amazing to be there during these first moments of bonding. You could just feel the love.

We just squeezed in this maternity session as the A family added sweet baby Roen to their family just a few short weeks later. He is totally adorable and I will be posting his hospital and newborn pictures shortly. Big sister Brecken was very ready to meet her baby brother. She had been reading up on how to be a big sister and taking very good care of her baby dolls.
