My Easter Weekend | Columbus Newborn Photographer

Columbus Newborn Photographer

I may be a newborn photographer by trade, but most of my time is spent being a mama to two amazing little boys. I’ve decided that I’m going to start blogging my adventures of motherhood with my kiddos as well as my business sessions. I think adding a touch of my personal life will help ya’ll get to know me as a person. Plus, who doesn’t love looking at more pictures of super cute kids:)

Well, this past weekend was Easter and we celebrated with dying eggs, searching for baskets of goodies and of course a good ol’ egg hunt. My youngest (Lincoln) fell down a hill last week and broke his leg:(He’ll be sporting a blue cast for next 5 weeks while it heals, but that didn’t stop him from getting in on the Easter fun.

Our day started out with the traditional search for their Easter baskets. Landon’s (my oldest) was hidden in the living room and included suckers, bubbles, books, Kit Kats, and binoculars. He spent the rest of the morning checking out everything near and far with his new binoculars. Lincoln’s basket included suckers, books, a dvd, as well as a toy cash register. Since I was tied up all week taking care of Lincoln and his broken leg we didn’t get a chance to dye eggs until later Sunday. This was the first time Landon has ever dyed eggs. It was a little stressful for me since he doesn’t really get the concept of ‘stains’, but we (he) still had fun. He especially enjoyed sticking his hands in the cup of dye while I wasn’t looking and turning his hands blue and green.

Later that day, we went to my parent’s house for dinner and the boys did an egg hunt in their backyard. They were very excited to have special treats of popcorn, candy, gum and goldfish that were hidden in each egg. Needless to say, both boys were very full before dinner with all their yummy snacks:)

It was a crazy weekend but a family filled one, which is the most important thing. Check out our fun below!
